Wasaga Beach – The Town of Wasaga Beach is pleased to announce that the Signature Sold Group has donated $20,000 to the town’s twin-pad arena and library fundraising campaign.
“On behalf of council, I thank the Signature Sold Group for its generous donation towards the arena and library project. This is a kind thing to do and will touch the lives of so many in the years ahead,” Mayor Brian Smith said.

The Town of Wasaga Beach is saddened to learn of the passing of iconic former Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion. Hazel McCallion served the City of Mississauga as Mayor for 36 years, from November 1978 to November 2014. Since leaving office, she has taken on roles with the University of Toronto, Sheridan College, The Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Ontario Women’s Hockey Association and the Ontario Government. Work Completed This Week
- Removal of asphalt and sidewalk on Spruce Street.
- Storm sewer pipe installation continued on Spruce Street.
- Sidewalk removal on Beach Drive began, and sidewalk closures are now in effect. Sidewalks are closed on Beach Drive between 1st Street and Main Street. A pedestrian crossing at Playland Parking Lot remains open for beach access.
- Infrastructure investigation continued throughout project limits.
